The Peoples Church enjoys the dedicated services of clergy, a board, staff members, and volunteers who help fulfill our mission. They include:

Rev.  Bob Kelly - Pastor

Pastor Bob refers to himself as a tentmaker-pastor. After the example of St. Paul, he has been a roofer-mostly in the NW area of Minnesota-for close to 30 years. He believes that hard work done well Is commanded by God and uses the gifts we have been given in service to all of God's creation.

 

Roofing has also given Pastor Bob the opportunity to spend a lot of time outdoors and to come to know the Native American people of this region well. Over the years he has provided Native Americans the opportunity to work alongside him in roofing. Now his vision is to move away from roofing and into "wild-crafting," an enterprise that features Native American pursuits such as working with birch-bark and boughs from fir trees. He knows the plant and animal life of the northern woods and lakes intimately. Being outdoors refreshes Pastor Bob's soul.

 

Bob is passionate about multicultural outreach even as he celebrates the Lutheran church which has rostered him as a "called and ordained servant of the Word." He insists that the church as the body of Christ is about caring for the "last, the lost, and the least."
